Sicilian Buttercups are an exceptional breed in so many ways. They are naturally curious and love to explore and investigate everything around them. These friendly birds will often fly up to greet us, especially when they know treats are involved.
Their intelligence makes them excellent free-rangers, and they truly thrive in open environments. Sicilian Buttercups lay around 200 white eggs per year.
Originating from the Mediterranean, this breed is currently considered threatened by the American Livestock Conservancy, making them a wonderful choice for anyone looking to support and preserve heritage breeds.
They truly have some of the best personalities of any breed we’ve had the pleasure of raising.
